What We Believe

What we believe serves as the foundation of our faith. Although our approach is modern, what we believe is tried and true. Our methods may change, but these are the foundational beliefs we'll always hold on to as a church.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
II Timothy 3:16, I Thessalonians 2:13, II Peter 1:21

Salvation

Salvation is a free gift.
Ephesians 2:8

Mankind

Man’s fall and redemption.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Jesus Christ was manifested to redeem and restore man back to God.
Romans 3:9-10,23, I John 3:8, Galatians 3:13-14

Water Baptism

Baptism in water by immersion.
Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12, Acts 8:36-39

The Return

When Jesus comes, the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air.
Acts 1:11, I Thessalonians 4:16-17

Divine Healing

Divine healing is provided for in the atonement and the privilege of every believer.
Mark 16:18, James 5:14-20, I Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:17,
Isaiah 53:4-5

Communion

We partake of the Lord's Supper to show the Lord's death till He comes.
I Corinthians 11:23-31, Isaiah 53:5, I Corinthians 11:24-30, Hebrews 9

Laying on of Hands

For anointing/ordination - I Timothy 4:14
As a blessing - Mark 10:13-16
For healing - Mark 5:22-23, 41

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a supernatural gift following salvation, with the initial evidence of praying in another language.  Jesus is our baptizer in the Holy Ghost.
 Matt 3:11, Luke 11:13, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 8:14-17

Our faith is built up as we pray in tongues.
Jude 20, 1 Corinthians 14:4

Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.  When you pray in tongues, you edify yourself.  In fact, you are actually building or repairing “your house,” or your temple.
Acts 19:1-6

Covenant of Marriage

The union of marriage is a holy covenant established between one man, one woman and God.
Gen 2:22-24, Mal 2:14-15, Matt 19:4-6, Mark 10:6-8, Eph 5:31
